Vegis is a supporting character on the Netflix original series Barbarians. He is portrayed by Mark Meran.
Vegis was Folkwin Wolfspeer's brother. Vegis, their father, Wiborg, and their mother, Ida, were crucifed by Varus after he discovered that Folkwin stole Rome's eagle.[1]
Throughout the Series[]
Season 1[]
Vegis awakens Folkwin from his sleep. Folkwin catches him as he attempts to run and jokes that today is the day that he will be sacrificed to the gods. He then promises his brother that no harm will come to him so long as he’s around. Later, Vegis alerts the tribe as Folkwin returns with Thusnelda and Rome's eagle.[2]
Death by Crucifixion[]
After Varus discovers that Folkwin stole Rome's eagle, Thusnelda attempts to warn them that they're in danger, but she doesn't get there in time. So they are taken from their home and crucified in front of the entire tribe, and Varus demands Folkwin's head on a pike.[1]
